Chronicle of a Cassandra

The Dark Matters of Science

 by Alan Wade

CHAPTER 1
Looks at the absurdities of physics: far from being the cream of science we find that the discipline has done nothing of benefit to mankind for many decades. Physics rests upon the laurels of the past and lays claim to the technology that the modern world relies on, when it is usually the work of non physicists and often of non scientists. This referenced chapter shows that physics, contrary to popular belief, has never been interested in technology, only in attaching restricting theories to already existing ideas as a means of control. We find that many of the ideas of modern physics depend for their existence on things that do not exist and cannot be proven to exist by using the empirical methodology of science. In other words modern physics is a hoax like "The Emperors New Clothes", only those who are stupid cannot see them.

     CHAPTER 2
Examines the abandonment of logic by science and the use of its counterfeit replacement, induction. Induction is undefined by science and probably indefinable, but science clings to its child even though it can be shown to be counterproductive and illogical. The chapter proceeds with an examination of the paradoxical thinking or circular logic used to justify the thinking of academic science in such subjects as the big bang and the beginning of life. The destructive effects of scepticism are examined both here and in other chapters.

     CHAPTER 3
Looks at the rise and development of radio: Who were the real pioneers and are those who are credited with the invention really worthy? How many academic scientists were involved in its development? Who deserves the honours?
We find that those who are lauded for their achievements were often guilty of systematic and deliberate theft and that academics delayed the discovery for ten years.

      CHAPTER 4
Who was the inventor of radio astronomy? The history is surprising as radio astronomy was originally rejected by both astronomy and physics. These same scientists later attributed the discovery to someone who never did any radio astronomy.

      CHAPTER 5
This chapter looks at those responsible for the history and development of TV, with emphasis on the cathode ray tube. We also take our first peek into the murky depths that surround the awarding of Nobel prizes, a subject filled with  intrigue.

      CHAPTER 6
More scientific shenanigans surround the first powered flight. The Smithsonian Mafia try to steal the glory.

      CHAPTER 7
MRI and yet again Nobel prizes are given to the undeserving while those who did the real work are ignored for reasons that may seem blatently unfair.
And peering into images of airport security X-rays or TSA, also called Terahertz technology, a technology that is billed as "new science", but the research dates back to the 1930's and even that is based on an earlier discovery from 1896. Nothing is new but much old and debunked science enters by the back door.

      CHAPTER 8
A brief look at the transistor and other semiconductor development and again those who cashed-in or built their reputations on already existing ideas. Some names arise that are familiar from earlier chapters. Transistors were around long before the official versioners will admit.

      CHAPTER 9
The fight to claim the first computer continues to this day, but whatever the revisionists say, history shows that it was not the work of academic scientists. We also look at the development of the hardware.

      CHAPTER 10
This chapter looks at the damage done by the sceptics and who benefits from the loss of a new, clean, energy source needed so desperately. An example of a scientific, debunking conspiracy, in plain view.

      CHAPTER 11
It seems that the NASA and Russian Moon missions have generated more questions than answers. Why is the distance to the Moon still uncertain? How can astronomers know the distance to the planets and even to the stars when there is no clear, given, measurement of the distance to the Moon? If you think this unlikely, then read the book, it may change your mind?

      CHAPTER 12
Geology has been winging-it for years and the proof is in its monumental underachievement. Nothing is known about what lies more than a mile or two beneath our feet and yet the geologists tell us how the Earth's core works.

      CHAPTER 13
Doubting the integrity of evolution is not just for fundies. The science that supports the theory is appalling.
